Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services
Greater Regional Medical Center offers Phase II and Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services. Cardiac Rehabilitation services at Greater Regional Medical Center are designed to help patients who are recovering from heart attacks, coronary artery bypasses, and angioplasty recover faster and return to full and productive lives. This is achieved by using a multidisciplinary approach and includes exercise, education, counseling, and learning ways to live a healthier lifestyle. Graduates of the program may continue to exercise in the Phase III maintenance program.Cardiac Rehabilitation services were initiated in August of 1988 at Greater Regional Medical Center. Cardiac Rehab is a certified program through the American Association of Cardiopulmonary Rehab.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services at Greater Regional Medical Center are designed to assist patients with pulmonary disease to recover and regain pulmonary functioning and more productive lives. Pulmonary Rehabilitation services include exercise, education, counseling, and learning new ways to live a healthier lifestyle. The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service was initiated in March of 1998.
The exercise room has treadmills, Air-Dyne bicycles, a recumbent stepper, Scifit Rex and free weights.
