Services - Laboratory

The Greater Regional Medical Center Laboratory is located on the lower level of the medical center. Laboratory Services Office Hours are: Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 midnight; Saturday and Sunday 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on-call personnel are available at all other times.

We have state-of-the-art equipment, enabling us to provide quality care for inpatients, outpatients, local nursing homes, wellness programs, doctor's clinics, and the Emergency Department. We have the capabilities to assist physicians in the diagnosis of diseases, as well as ongoing treatment of their patients, including therapeutic drug monitoring. The Lab performs more than 10000 tests per month, has been CAP certified since 1996, and COLA certified since 2007.

Barbara Kenyon, MT/ASCP, is the Laboratory Director.

Our technologists' top priority is providing accurate and precise results to our patients' physicians. We have achieved this goal by performing regular maintenance on our equipment, following a strict in-house quality control program, using quality reagents, and paying close attention to the results we report.

The Greater Regional Medical Center Laboratory takes pride in our up-to-date instrumentation, allowing us to provide quality results in a prompt and efficient manner, combined with our desire to treat all of our patients with care and compassion, giving them the best laboratory services available today.
