Elective Surgeries Resume at Greater Regional Health
With the Governors announcement allowing elective surgeries to resume, Greater Regional Health is safely and efficiently starting the process. “This week, we have opened up to slowly start elective procedures,” stated Chief of Medical Staff, Dr. Heather Osterbrink.
Greater Regional Health is continuing the one entrance access point and screening process at the Main Entrance. We are suppling home made masks for patients to wear during their visit and have instilled new social distancing regulations within waiting rooms to ensure patient and staff safety.
All service lines within Greater Regional Health are open and accepting patients. We are confident in our Environmental Services (EVS) staff in keeping with CDC guidelines in sanitizing the campus to ensure a clean, safe visit for our patients. Highly trafficked and touched surfaces are sanitized at the start of each shift along with intense/proactive cleaning is being done daily.
Greater Regional Health’s Visitor Policy still is in affect for patient care floor visits or routine appointments. Only one caregiver and/or power of attorneys are allowed with the patient at this time. We appreciate your cooperation in this policy as it keeps our patients and our staff safe.
At Greater Regional Health, our providers would like to remind their patients to continue to keep their healthy a top priority and to communicate with their providers for any health concerns they may have. Dr. Matthew Checketts shares, “We have started Virtual Health visits at Greater Regional that allow a patient to visit with a healthcare provider in a format that does not require a visit to the hospital or clinic. The patient can stay in the comfort of their own home and interface with their doctor in a meaningful way that facilitates continued care.”
Virtual Health is available through majority of our providers with our primary care. To make an appointment or to learn more about a virtual health appointment call (641) 782-2131. Greater Regional is excited to announce the additional Virtual Health appointments within our Rehabilitation Department: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.
