Athletic Training

Greater Regional Health's Athletic Training program is a service we provide to benefit coaches and student athletes. In addition to our full time orthopedic department, we currently offer comprehensive rehabilitation and sport medicine services which are provided to personalize coverage of school based athletic programs.

Certified athletic trainers work with area student athletes in the following athletic domains: injury/illness prevention and wellness protection, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, and organizational and professional health and well-being. Research shows that student athletes show a decrease in absent days from school, lost game days, and parental concern. Schools served by certified athletic trainers show an increase in student athlete participation in school.

At Greater Regional we feel the safety and health of area student athletes is a top priority and are proud to be serving the following programs:

  • Creston Community Schools
  • Diagonal Community Schools
  • East Union Community Schools
  • Mayflower School
  • Murray Community Schools
