Informational Guide Services
Trained volunteers personally greet and guide patients and visitors as they arrive at Greater Regional Medical Center. While visits to the medical center may sometimes be stressful.... our friendly volunteers help reduce that stress by welcoming and then confidently guiding individuals to appointments, tests, therapy sessions, or other departments as needed.
SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program) volunteers assist seniors with questions about Medicare supplement insurance, long-term care insurance, claims, benefits, etc. For more information about SHIIP, click here.
Trained volunteers provide guided group tours of the medical center and its departments to visiting groups from schools and other organizations.
Volunteers assist in various departments by stocking, filing, typing, shredding, copying, mailing and performing a variety of other clerical duties. Volunteers also label, update, and recycle magazines throughout the medical center each month. Community residents donate their previously enjoyed magazines for this purpose.
