Greater Regional Health acknowledges that healthcare extends beyond the walls of our hospital and clinics. With this in mind, Greater Regional takes pride in partnering with local organization and groups to positively impact the communities we serve. Greater Connections Childhood Development Center opened in 2023. This was a community effort to provide additional childcare services to Creston and surrounding areas.

Greater Regional is proud to be the title sponsor of the Greater 8 & 5K, an annual walk/run in Creston, Iowa. Greater Regional has been the title sponsor for over 5 years.

Union County Fair
Kids' Day
Greater Regional Health partnered with the Union County Fair to host Kids' Day. Greater Regional hosts a variety of educational, creative, and inspiring games for the kids of Union County and surrounding areas.

Farmer's Market
Greater Regional Healthcare Foundation hosts the Creston Farmers Market every Monday evening during the summer months. With Foundation support, community members are able to enjoy farm fresh produce and local goods.
Greater Regional Health is an affiliate partner with UnityPoint Health - Des Moines through both a formal management agreement and a Critical Access Hospital network agreement. This relationship enables Greater Regional to retain its governance structure while taking advantage of greater system-wide resources, clinical platforms, best practices and many other advantages which will benefit the people in in our community. Greater Regional remains locally governed by a Board of Trustees and key administration positions to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital and its employees.
