Bradley Weis, PharmD., Assistant Director of Pharmacy at Greater Regional Health, was among the 20 CAH Pharmacists chosen for the program in 2023. He successfully finished the program in 2024.
The Antimicrobial Stewardship training program by the Society of Infectious Disease Pharmacists (SIDP) emphasizes the steward's responsibility in ensuring the proper utilization of antimicrobial agents. Every year, 20 Critical Access Hospital Pharmacists are chosen to participate in this program. The program consists of two modules dedicated to education and training, and a third module where the trainee can showcase a project or initiative they intend to carry out at their healthcare facility.
"Pharmacy and Medicine is constantly evolving and I recognize the importance of staying up to date with the latest advances." -Bradley Weis, PharmD.
Bradley serves as both the Assistant Director of Pharmacy and the chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee at Greater Regional. He recognized the certification program as a chance to empower himself and the committee. The knowledge and skills gained from the certificate program offer GRH innovative approaches to optimize antibiotic prescribing, reduce antibiotic resistance, and enhance community health.
Greater Regional Health is pleased to extend congratulations to Bradley Weis, PharmD., for his accomplishment and dedication to enhancing patient care.
