Greater Regional Health welcomed around 40 preschoolers from Matura Head Start for a hospital tour.
Dr. Joshua Capson initiated this project four years ago. Over the years, students have created crafts to display at the hospital. This year, they painted flower pots with handprints, which are showcased in the hallway linking the Medical Center to the Medical Arts Plaza.
During their visit, the students explored various departments, including the Surgery Center, Emergency Room, and the Med/Surgery Floor. This exposure helps them learn about our doctors and nurses and makes them feel more at ease when visiting Greater Regional Health for care.
Dr. Capson explains one of the reasons he loves this experience:
Checking out healthcare settings in a fun, hands-on way has really helped kids feel more comfortable with getting medical care. Thanks to this experience, a student who had previously been anxious about medical procedures no longer fears visiting the doctor and even said, "Doctors are Awesome!"
We extend our gratitude to Dr. Capson for organizing the event and to all GRH employees who contributed to making it a memorable day for the children!

really enjoyed reading this article. many users today also rely on an instagram downloader to keep their favorite reels and videos offline.
This is a wonderful initiative. Activities like these help young children become more comfortable with healthcare environments and also teach them the importance of health and wellness from an early age. It’s great to see organizations creating educational experiences that make learning both fun and meaningful for preschoolers. Many parents and teachers also like sharing these special moments through short videos online. Sometimes I save helpful clips using an instagram reels download tool so they can be watched again later and shared with others for inspiration.
