The Senior Housing Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) office will be relocating to the Highway Medical building, 803 Wyoming Avenue this month. The move to Highway Medical will allow for a larger office space and more convenience for patients.

How can I benefit from meeting with a SHIIP volunteer?

SHIIP is a free, objective information service provided by peer volunteers trained by the Iowa Department of Insurance. SHIIP volunteers are trained to assist patients, families and staff in:

  • Understanding Medicare benefits

  • Organizing medical bills, Medicare statements, and filling Medicare claims

  • Providing information on long-term care insurance polices

  • Comparing and evaluating Medicare supplement polices & drug plans

  • Recognizing Medicare fraud and abuse

For information about SHIIP or to make an appointment, contact the SHIIP helpline at 641-782-3848.

Want to become a SHIIP volunteer?

Trained volunteers assist thousands of Iowans each year to understand their Medicare benefits and options through individual counseling sessions, community education, and special projects. Becoming a SHIIP volunteer is a great way to give back to the community and help patients understand Medicare.

If you are interested in becoming a SHIIP volunteer, contact Jordan Crawford at 641-782-3553.

Moving an office always reminds me how much a space affects daily routines. The same thing happens at home, especially in the kitchen. When the layout is awkward, every meal feels a little more annoying than it should. A luxury kitchen remodel makes sense when you want the room to work better, look calmer, and feel easier to use every single day.

Office moves always remind me how much your space shapes your day to day flow. It is not just about a new address, it is about finding somewhere that actually supports how you work without constant adjustments. When I think about choosing to rent private workspace, I’d want something flexible, quiet, and fully mine so I can settle in once and stay focused instead of reworking my setup every few months.
