Dr. Preston is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He first went to Drake University, before transferring to Iowa State University to complete his Bachelor's of Science in Biology in 1979. Dr. Preston completed his Medical Schooling at the University of Iowa in 1989.
Dr. Preston and his wife have 4 grown children. They enjoy bicycling and camping.
