Cardiopulmonary Rehab

A physician can refer you to cardiopulmonary rehab following a qualifying event or diagnosis.

Cardiac Rehab

Cardiac Rehab helps to strengthen your heart following a heart attack or surgery. It gives you tools you need to better manage your health including help controlling risk factors such as high blood pressure and cholesterol. Cardiac Rehab can lower the chances of having a 2nd heart attack or heart surgery.

Cardiac Rehabilitation is a 2-3 day per week program which can last 4-12 weeks depending on your goals and abilities.

If you have one of the following diagnoses, you may be eligible to participate:

  • Heart attack

  • Angina

  • Coronary artery angioplasty or stents

  • Open heart surgery such as coronary bypass or valve surgery

  • Heart failure

  • Heart transplantation

The Greater Regional Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a 6-10 week program which includes exercise classes and education about your lung disease or condition. Pulmonary Rehabilitation may help you participate in activities with less shortness of breath, as well as teach you how to "live" better with your lung condition.

This program is a service that is designed for those who experience lung conditions; such as:

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

  • Emphysema

  • Chronic bronchitis

  • Pulmonary Hypertension

  • Interstitial lung disease
